This is a great book for Physical Therapists and Athletic Trainers. It is a book purely consisting of orthopedic special tests: name, starting position, ending position, and positive findings. Very straight-forward, and broken down in a very user friendly manner. Great book for prepping for you board exams.

Received the product rapidly but...

I received my book within a couple days, but the cover on the spiral bound book is placed incorrectly. The 'cover' is on upside down and in the rear of the book. Very annoying, and to fix the problem you have to take every page out of the spiral portion to get to the 'cover' to place it correctly. Other than that, I love the product.

I keep it on my desk in the clinic. As a PTA I dont normally perform the tests but need to be able to recreate if PT asked for it. keeping it around helps remember especially because there's so many shoulder tests.

I will be reading the rest of the series

VERY enjoyable and interesting book - I felt entirely 'present' in Ceridwen's world with her, although slightly apart nonetheless. It is presented in first-person perspective of a young lady's experiences and her thoughts on them. Sometimes slow going or maybe one could say leisurely. This is not a bodice-ripper or a fast-paced page turning thriller but a immerision into a historical time period seen from the perspective of an ordinary - yet far from ordinary - character.

The relationship dynamics the eponymous young woman finds herself in made me question a bit more deeply some of my own biases and leanings - which I am still turning over in my thoughts. Sheds light a bit on certain things I've seen in real life - curious that, literature makes us think and reflect on life in general. I must say this book then qualifies as Literature.

It is very well written if at times paced at a pace somewhat less than griping page turning excitement. It was a longish read, and took me a longer time to complete than is my norm, but this book is beyond the usual norm and has much to recommend: Authentic period ambience, compelling characters, historical relevance, humanity reflected, and a young girl's heart followed through challenges beyond her years and expectations.

I did indeed enjoy too the educational value of learning about "the old gods" of the pre-Christian Anglo-Saxons and still trying to understand the Anglo-Saxon vs. Danish invaders history, probably because I know so very little of it academically ~ I suppose I could read history books instead of historical fiction but, nah, I like the fictional history. I won't be defending my own academic theories by what I read so absolute historical accuracy I can neither comment on nor get too worked up for either.

Definitely looking forward to Book #2 and #3. I will be reading the rest of the series.

Historical tale about Vikings, Saxons, love and adventure

The story is set in 9th century England during the war between the Saxon's and Vikings as seen through a courageous young lady's eyes. This book is the first in a trilogy and has a fairly simple story that lacks the usual twist/surprises and complicated plots that most authors seem to find as a must. I will admit that in the beginning I found it a bit boring but by the end I was surprised at how absorbed I had become. Much of this was due to the author's skill at character development and detailed writing. The first book can stand alone but I look forward to reading the rest of the trilogy to find out what happens too many of the characters.

I've read this book years ago and was delighted to see it finally available on Amazon and picked it up to read again! From the beginning its very easy to immerse yourself into the world of Ceridwen and get caught up in the details and concerns of their time.

It is so researched and well thought out that the seamless storyline simply enfolds the reader. If you're curious about the time period, enjoy historical novels at all or long for an enduring love story that carries through the ages... this book is the start of a wonderful journey for you!

Azure Road Map!

I work in a datacenter and knowing about product offerings is what keeps you moving forward, Azure is huge and highly scalable. I use VMware on a daily basis and while I really enjoy using the product, I feel they need to work on their future with developers to stay current. This book guides you into setting up Azure Pack from start to nearly finished, you'll want to expand on this setup but it get's you going in the right direction. Recommend this book to anyone who is tech savy and enjoys getting hands on.

impractical to invest in expensive computing hardware that will probably be obsolete in a few years. Instead of incurring heavy
expenses due to these mandatory hardware refresh cycles every few years, businesses and organizations are realizing the benefits
of increased efficiency and unsurpassed scalability of cloud computing. Microsoft's Azure cloud is a serious contender in this
field. Windows Azure Pack (WAP, in conjunction with Windows Server, SQL Server and System Center) brings the same technology
running Microsoft's massive cloud data centers within the reach of entities interested in running their own private cloud or
providing various cloud services. First few chapters of this book deal with planning considerations and best practices advice.
After that, the author jumps right into the meaty stuff with step by step instructions on installing and configuring the various
WAP components. Extra emphasis is put on network virtualization and software defined storage because the practical implementation

Excellent book for both beginner and experienced

This is an excellent book. I have an engineering degree but since I was out of college for almost 10 years I needed a book to go through every topic in such a way that doesn't look basic but refresh all that I learned back in college. This book served the purpose. Moreover it touched topics like Markov Chains and Stochastic processes. It also explains linear programming (simplex and M method) in a very simple way with tons of examples. Examples have been very well chosen and every intricate concept is explained by going through the examples step by step.

Concept of probability is very well explained in this book. Baye's theorem is a piece of cake if you read this book. Overall, I'm very happy that I chose this book.

This book is just very good. It is a top-quality, superbly on target solution for end users of mathematics. I had selected and subsequently used it as a textbook for a freshman calculus course aimed at prospective economics majors at an Ivy League college. My goal was to present a broad scope of the fundamental concepts of applied mathematics relevant to the social sciences, while keeping the exposition at the basic level of mathematical sophistication. Given the objective, one needs a textbook that would replace most proofs with carefully chosen exemplifications, rely on technically undemanding exercises, but enable the teacher to introduce concepts at a lively pace and tie them to interesting applications. This textbook meets all the requirements.
Our course used essentially only the more advanced parts of the book. The selection of topics was systematized by the idea of staying focused on some of the basic mathematical methods designed for solving broadly understood problems of optimization, extrapolation, and prediction. Formally, students were required to learn algorithmic skills, like finding extrema of functions of one and several variables, linear programming, basic routines for ordinary differential equations and Markov chains. Primary emphasis was put on understanding the differences and similarities between continuous and discrete, deterministic and random. The book served us well and we felt truly rewarded by its amazing collection of well selected, well thought-through real-life applications. I am enthusiastic about this book and so were very many of my students.

excellent book

I used the second edition of this book many years ago in college. Its easy to understand and does a good job of covering its intended subject matter.
